چکیده
We characterize heat dissipation of supported molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) monolayers grown by chemical vapor deposition means ambient-condition scanning thermal microscopy (SThM). find that the boundary conductance MoS in contact with 300 nm SiO is around 4.6 ± MW m ?2 K ?1 . This value low range values determined for exfoliated flakes other techniques such as Raman thermometry, which span an order magnitude (0.44–50 ), and underlines dispersion measurements. The sensitivity to in-plane conductivity very low, highlighting key driver monolayer when it not suspended. In addition, this work also demonstrates SThM calibration using different thicknesses , initially aimed at being used bulk materials can be extended 2D materials.

Infrared Photodetectors Grown by Rapid Thermal Cvd
GeSii infrared detectors grown by Rapid Thermal CVD are demonstrated. External quantum efficiency of7% at A=1.32jtm and eye-diagram at 1.5Gbit/s are obtained for Ge2Si71 waveguide pin detectors. It is shown that external quantum efficiency is limited by the fiber to waveguide coupling efficiency. These, along with system considerations suggest that with further improvements, such devices can be...

Micro-thermal analysis combines the imaging capabilities of atomic force microscopy with the ability to characterise, with high spatial resolution, the thermal behaviour of materials. The conventional AFM tip is replaced by a miniature heater/thermometer which enables a surface to be visualised according to its response to the input of heat (in addition to measuring its topography). Areas of in...
متن کاملA new twist on scanning thermal microscopy.
The thermal bimorph is a very popular thermal sensing mechanism used in various applications from meat thermometers to uncooled infrared cameras. While thermal bimorphs have remained promising for scanning thermal microscopy, unfortunately the bending of the bimorph directly interferes with the bending associated with topographical information. We circumvent this issue by creating bimorphs that...
